Belle City Fire & Safety is proud to be a family-owned fire protection service. Peter Baylon founded the business in 1985 as a franchisee of Respond First Aid Systems. By 1995 the focus became portable fire extinguisher service, and restaurant and kitchen fire suppression systems. With the purchase of  Belle City Fire Extinguisher Co. in 2012, the current company name, Belle City Fire & Safety, was adopted.

Further expansion in 2018 included the purchase of Brantner’s Fire Extinguishers & Carbonic Gas and Fox River Fire & Safety in Burlington and relocation to the current address, 2615 Mount Pleasant Street in Racine.
